Group Therapy and Monthly Social Group
The Saluda Counseling Center has provided a variety of groups to the community. We have provided groups for grief and loss, and a caretaker support group at our Lancaster and Chester site offices. We have received good response and feedback from these groups, and we will continue to seek funding to provide them to the community we serve at low or no cost. If you are interested in a specific group topic, please let us know. We are developing new groups to meet the demands of our clients.
The M.E.E.T Group is a monthly social group that has been ongoing since 2018. M.E.E.T stands for Mend, Engage and Enjoy Together. The purpose is to allow current clients to meet new people, while discussing new topics and trying new things! As a fluid group, we do not require consecutive attendance from clients and patients so you can join us when you are able.
M.E.E.T gathers on the first Thursday of the month at 2:00PM at the Saluda Counseling Center main office in Rock Hill.
Internships and Training for Future Mental Health Professionals
In the last four years we have provided fourteen (14) internship opportunities to clinically licensed interns and graduate level students completing their program requirements.
At our very roots, our interests in providing opportunities to students and emerging mental health professionals as well as in the past providing pastoral counseling internship opportunities has been important to what we do.
For those that see becoming a mental health professional as their career path, we want to offer an experience that will encourage their development and help them move towards those goals.
If you are experiencing stress in your marriage or relationship with a significant other, our therapists can assist you. We provide services to aid in communication and managing conflict so that you can gain a better understanding of how to maintain a healthy future together. We also offer support in coping with family issues such as divorce/separation, blended families, and parent-child relational issues.
Psychiatric Medication Management
We currently have Psychiatrist(s) and several mid-level providers such as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants on staff to provide outpatient medication management to deliver the model of care that we know is the most successful in helping our clients and patients achieve their treatment goals.
Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, a mood disorder, or any other psychiatric diagnosis, our medical team will provide compassionate care to assure you are getting the appropriate treatment to help manage your symptoms.
Medications and individual mental health counseling go hand -in-hand to help you achieve your mental health goals.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Access
Today, the focus on employee wellness is important for individual employee work performance and interpersonal effectiveness with peers, as well as being linked to company loyalty.
