The Center provides, according to their proposal, “evidence-based psychotherapy to children, adolescents, couples, families and adults as well as medication management for over 2,394 active patients.” The Center has three offices: Rock Hill, Fort Mill and Lancaster. They have between 157 and 171 patients from Chester County, who are currently traveling to the Rock Hill main office."

03/01/2017: The Saluda Counseling Center to host a 40th Anniversary Luncheon at the Palmetto Room!
We are grateful to be celebrating 40 years in the community! The Saluda Counseling Services Center is fortunate to have Michael Tarwater, retired CEO of Carolinas Healthcare System, speaking at our “40th Anniversary Luncheon” on March the 30th in the Palmetto Room (back of Five and Dine) in downtown Rock Hill. He will be speaking about the challenges in mental health care followed by discussion on what we can do about it.
Mr. Tarwater has been concerned about the behavioral health needs in our region and said last April on WFAE’s “Charlotte Talks” with Mike Collins: “The prevalence of behavioral health issues is beyond what anybody can imagine;” “70% of every primary care visit (across the CHS) shows an underlying behavioral health problem;” “behavioral health issues are addressable if they are screened out early and treated appropriately” and “the cure rate is unbelievably high.” Tarwater went on to say, “(Behavioral health issues are) a causative factor in homelessness…alcoholism…unemployment…and in the breakup of families.”
If you have any questions about the event, please contact Kristina Conroy, Business Manager at 803-327-6103 x 222.
